Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Absolutely fabulous!!! I colored my icing and had the different colors in pastry bags and with a tip #5 (which could vary depending on how big the cookie is) I piped the icing onto each cookie...as long as your consistency is tacky-like, you can pipe just near the edges without it overflowing down the sides. Produces very professional looking cut-outs. You do need a good few hours for it to set up enough to stack cookies.

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I can't tell you how many times I have made this salad. Its one of those things that you can add or subtract things too. I tend to use larger cuts of cheese and more balsamic. It makes a ton, so make sure you are cooking for a crowd! The only downfall is that the pasta turns brown after a day because of the balsamic..but its even better!

Blue Cheese Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I used a different cut of meat..but the results were incredible. I don't even like beef, just made it for my boyfriend. Not only is the marinade fabulous...that sauce is incredible! I woke up and ate it for breakfast too! I used a large sirloin and broiled it the same way. I imagine that any somewhat fatty cut of meat would be great.

Hamburger Soup III

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
Yummy! I thing the recipe was good as a starter ~ but I did change some things like everyone else did. Firstly, we don't eat beef much, so I never have it on hand. I made it with ground chicken and used chicken broth instead of the beef broth. I used 1/4 cup sliced baby carrots (next time I will leave them out as my family really doesn't care for cooked carrots). I had 3 small ears of frozen corn that I nuked for a minute, then sliced the kernals in the soup. I used 1 large jar of stewed tomatoes that I canned from the summer. Didn't have the peas, so obviously that wasn't in there ~ and I used dried onion as my middle son will not eat cooked onions. I also didn't have macaroni noodles, so I used medium shells. I put a couple of shakes of Worchestershire sauce in and it was great! I served garlic bread on the side (my version, hamburger buns, halved, butter spread on and some garlic salt w/ oregano). It was really good!

Red Velvet Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
This was great! I did omit the vinegar since the recipe calls for buttermilk. I also added 3 tablespoons cocoa, and only used 1 ounce of red food coloring (I ran out). Thanks for the great recipe!

Tasty Collard Greens

I've been making my greens like this for years...I do add 1/2 of a chopped onion to my greens. Serve it with a side of buttermilk cornbread and it's heaven. Thanks for the great recipe!

Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I wanted white chocolate cream cheese frosting, so I added 4 oz melted white chocolate to the end result. I also used the entire block of cream cheese. I used this on red velvet cake. Thanks for the great recipe, I'll be using it again!
