Turkey in a Bag

Reviewed on Nov. 24, 2008 by Rebecca
This was my second attempt at a turkey for my dorm's second annual Thanksgiving. This recipe was incredibly easy, and the turkey came out super moist and juicy. I added a little bit of extra celery, onions, some fresh minced garlic, and half an apple diced inside, and put the other half of the apple in the cavity. Also, since the turkey wasn't as brown as I'd liked about 30 minutes before serving I opened the bag, spread paprika, butter, and a little flour and let it brown for a little longer. I definitely would recommend this recipe.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed on Oct. 12, 2008 by VICKSEXT
This is a GREAT recipe. We grow our own lemons and it only takes the juice of half a lemon to get a cup of lemon juice. So that was all I used and turned out PERFECT! I also cheated and used a graham cracker crust which was also great tasting. Thanks so much!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed on Oct. 4, 2008 by tennprincess
Anything with mushrooms, cheese and bacon is going to get 5 stars from me. I marinated the chicken for several hours in buttermilk to help keep it moist. Then I lightly sprinkled it with seasoning salt before browning. I like to saute my mushrooms before I add them to any dish, so I did that too. I chose to use dijon mustard in the honey mustard sauce for extra flavor. In spite of the calories, I'll make this again.
