Crumb Apple Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This apple pie is delicious. Didn't change a thing, maybe just added more apples to fill up the dish. Do recommend this recipe. My husband is so picky and he loved this. Will make again.

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
GOOD!! I would have given it a 4 or 5 star but my husband said it was ok but was to dry. I added white cooking wine to add extra juice to it and an extra teaspoon of lemon juice. Taste was great but like he said a bit to dry. Although will make it again and maybe next time add addition water to make it more juicy..

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
WOW!!! This was a great recipe. Although I used 2 lbs of raw shrimp and doubled the recipes. Added some broccoli to it and served it with white rice and garlic bread. The only thing I would change is add more honey so it can get that sweeter taste but other than that it was great. Will make this again.

I give it 2 stars because I wasn't so fond of that vinagary taste. Husband gave it 4 stars he said it was good. But I wouldn't make this dish again. Sorry...

Lemon and Cilantro Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
I gave this 5 stars. Great recipe, made a few adjustments of my own but came out great. Added 3 roman tomatoes, a bit more of cilantro and only used the zest of 1 lemon and half of a lemons juice since my husband doesn't like to over do it on the lemon. Used 1T. chopped garlic in olive oil. Served over buttered, garlic pasta (noodles) and garlic bread. Instead of sprinkling pepper and lemon juice on top, sprinkling w/parmesan cheese. Great flavor do recommend this recipe to others. Will make again.

Grandma Minnie's Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
I made this cookies for my son's cub scout x-mas party and they loved them. Did put the dough in the freezer for about 20mins and baked them for 15mins but they came out great. Crispy on the outside edges but soft enough to melt in your mouth.

Magic Lemon Pie from EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
Tried making this recipe for my dad. He loves lemon pie, but thought I would try something new this year since my mom alwys makes it out of the lemon pudding. I wanted to impress him, well I was the one that came out impressed, the recipe with the consensed milk never thicken. I used everything the recipe called for except decided to use real lemon juice instead of the concentrate but didn't work. Now my dad is not having lemon pie this Thanksgiving, can't see how people say its one of the best. :-(

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
I've never been a huge fan of chicken breasts, but this recipe really gave the chicken flavor! I served it over angel hair pasta and substituted the pimentos with green peppers. I also served sauteed zuchinnis as a side dish. All-in-all, a wonderful dish! Thanks for sharing!

Apple Coffee Cake With Brown Sugar Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2007
I followed reccomendations of others... heavy on apples, easy on the sugar, and reduce either the temperature or the cooking time. Without the sauce, it was a moist cake-like concoction. The caremely nuts on the bottom were a nice treat. Overall, it wasn't anything incredible. It is a good cake for people who like a more delicate, less sweet cake. I'll try it one more time with the sauce.
