Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
Instead of coating the chicken in cornstarch and soy sauce I mixed all that in with the broth. I chose to use Chinese 5 Spice since I had it and don't have anything to use it for besides dishes like these, it does contain ginger and garlic powder. If serving over rice double the sauce.

Play Dough Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
These are so cute! I really thought I was playing with Play Dough. I really recommend using the paste that the recipe calls for so you get the deep color without useing a ton of food coloring. After I halved each color I halved them again and pre-rolled the first 6 balls of each color so I could ensure I'd have enough of each color for each cookie. I, at first, tried to the first 12 but they started to dry out. Once I got my rope formed I started forming the inside coil. After three loops I took the tail end of the rope and wrapped it around the coil. I found a bag of 100 6" sticks at Michaels and 100 baggies with ties that fit perfectly on the cookie. They also have a ton of different individual colored pastes to choose from. I will definitely be making these again!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
Absolutely fantastic. I used 1/4c. milk and 1/4c. brown sugar. It was still very sweet. I took the advice of another reviewer and put the brown sugar and ketchup mixture on top of the meatloaf. I added about 1/4tsp of garlic and left out the onion. Will make many more times.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
Oh so fantastic! This is my favorite pizza recipe. I do not use the whole bottle of dressing, it's just way too much. I use enough for a very, very thin layer to cover the entire pizza and that's it. Not even a half bottle.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
I really want to love this recipe. I love all these spicy and have a deep and undying love for buffalo wings. I just didn't enjoy this recipe in it's original form or with the suggestions. I might give it another shot.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
My fiance and brother have been begging me to make these again. We had a guest over as well, I offered him some and he could not stop raving. These were just so delicious and worth every burn scar that I still have 2 months later.

Jalapeno Chicken II

Loved this! It is a great and easy recipe as is. I might try brushing the bacon with some honey next time.

Hash Brown Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
Added 2 or 3 more eggs and about 1/4tsp garlic powder. This was great, but next time I will decrease the onion or at least cook them before hand so they aren't so raw.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
Oh man, so good! I used half mayo and half sour cream, as suggested. I love, love, love artichokes so I definitely added a little bit more to the mixture. I used about 1/4 tsp. of garlic powder and added a pinch of pepper. Everyone loved this and devoured it!

Quick and Easy Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This is such a great recipe. I pour half of the Green Chile mix in my 9x13 pan. The rest of the can I soak my corn tortillas in. It definitely didn't turn out soupy. My brother and fiance request this recipe often and eat off of it for days. Thanks for the great recipe.

Broiled Scallops

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
These are great! Instead of sprinkling the garlic (I don't use garlic salt, just powder) and butter, etc. on them... I mix it all in a bowl, throw my scallops in and then just pour the bowl into a baking pan.

Sausage Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
These were fantastic! Even with making them earlier in the day and refrigerating them until I put them in the oven, it still didn't take me as long as other were saying for the prep time. I used Pork Breakfast Sausage from the meat counter and bacon from the meat counter as well. I also saved the jalapeno seeds for the cream cheese mixture. I microwaved my bacon for about 1 minutes and then brushed it with honey, as suggested. These were the first app. gone at my fiances b-day party and everyone raved about them.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
Perfect recipe, I made it exactly as the recipe follows. I was able to bake a 9X13 and a square 8X8 cake from the batter. I made the chocolate ganache icing for the larger cake and I dusted the other with powdered sugar, tastes just like this cake that I buy for $6.00 a slice at a nearby chocolatier.
