Slow Cooker Beef Stew III

The flavors in this stew were excellent. I didn't cook it overnight. I accidentally put it on high for 4 hours, then found my error and kept it on low for 4 hours. Perfect! DH raved about it, so it should be 10 star. Thank you!

Newport Clam Chowder

So, I cant give this recipe a true review because I didnt follow it exactly. I read the directions and the ingrediants and just kinda did my own thing in the kitchen. I doubled the batch (we love chowder so I wanted a bunch of leftovers). I used 1 jar of clam juice (could have used more), 3 cans of minced clams (juice included) and 1.5lbs fresh clams I found at the grocery store. I also used fat free half and half as well as skim milk and chicken broth (equal parts). Oh, i chopped up some salt pork and cut the onions in half (based on other reviews). I used dried dill and dried thyme. Overall it came out pretty good. Not as thick as we would have liked but good none the less. Served with crusty french bread and oyster crackers. Will def make another chowder attempt. :D
