Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed on Nov. 28, 2008 by Nici
I used all the "tricks"- put my water bath in the oven while it was preheating, greased the bottom and sides of the pan, didn't over-mix the batter (I even whisked all the eggs together in a separate bowl before adding), and baked it exactly one hour, then turned off the oven and left it competely alone, no peeking, for 5 hours. BUT, I put the bottom of my springform pan in upside down, and the waterbath leaked into my crust. This recipe STILL turned out WONDERFUL despite user error! It was unbelievably good- and it looked perfect. No cracks, no pulling away at the sides, and smooth and silky all the way through. Except for a soggy crust. Next time, though, it will be perfect!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed on Nov. 18, 2008 by SHANNONMS1
This is a fantastic cheesecake. I did add about 1/4 cup more pumpkin. It needed to be cooked longer because of the extra pumpkin but it is a fantastic recipe. Thank you so much for sharing.

Gramma Beaton's Brown Sugar Beans

Reviewed on Nov. 8, 2008 by Nici
I was relieved to find a recipe without any canned beans! I used white beans, and a combination of molasses and maple syrup rather than sugar. We took it to a BBQ, and it went so fast, I had to scrape the pan to get a taste!
